What's it matter? Oracle has already made their money because they've sold the product to hundres of companies. Everyone knows that clueless lying idiots in marketing prepare slogans to present to clueless idiot CEO's (help call Apple support I can't find the My Computer icon on my desktop) which buy into the hype. Oracle then comes back and re-defines the word "unbreakable". It doesn't REALLY mean unbreakable, it just means it won't fry your toster.

I'm a software engineer. . . a database software engineer who writes web database apps for a living and we use oracle. I can also attest that the INSTANT I read this slogan I chuckled to myself because I knew it was hogwash. Oracle is "unbreakable" just like Windows is a "superior" operating system. . . oh brother.

The more I work the more I see my office becoming a dilbert strip. . . Scott Adams is so right on the money it's scary, sad and extremelly funny at the same time.
