Use a firewall, go to jail, and send Bill Gates too
John Lettice, The Register 2003-03-28

The (DMCA) Digital Millennium Copyright Act clearly isn't enough for some people. Massachusetts and Texas are - in curious formation - considering bills that will extend it to make firewalls (among other things) illegal.

Well, technically speaking, NAT'ing masks the actually computer the information came from. However, the argument could be made that you still know *where* it came from because you at least have the ligitamate address of the firewall. So they wouldn't be able to tell that it came from the computer in the bedroom, but they could tell it came from your house.

Also, the To: field of an encrypted e-mail isn't really encrypted itself, it's signed. If the To: field was encrypted, it wouldn't be able to be delivered.

I'm sorry about the rustness, but if I'm not mistaken, the header is only signed, not encrypted. So that wouldn't mask the information either; just ensure it wasn't changed.

In all, yes, it should be changed to clarify the meaning, or else it will very likely be warped at some point. I hate when politicians try to write about technology.
