Some computer security professionals are already feeling the pinch from a new Defense Department policy discouraging contractors from hiring non-citizens. The Pentagon says it's about loyalty; visa holders call it classic xenophobia.

SO WHAT!!!!
>>India has come to computer science quite late, having adopted this primarily American and British discipline, and now wants to pretend that it is the source of all things IT. It's not. It's not even close. All it is is a source of cheap, second-rate talent.
It does not matter whether India has come early or late..All it matters is that whether it is producing qualified engineers. YES IT DOES. India is not acting as if it is *the* source of IT. It is establishing itself as *a* a source of qualified engineers. rather it is established.. Just because you say it is a source of cheap, second-rate talent IT DOES NOT BECOME ONE....And everybody do know that
>>Flame me if you want, but the truth is the truth.
I am not flaming you. I am just putting my point across.
>>America has more REAL programmers than India could ever produce -- people with real, four-year computer science degrees and real development experience.
To be a good computer you need a lot of analytical skills. And definitely analytical skills grow alongside with your mathematical abilities. And do you know that it is mandatory in India (/China) that you have to do a number of mandatory courses during all of the 3 or 4 undergrad years. whereas in US it is not. I am not here to blame the education system. I am just pointing some stuff to your statement about "REAL Programmers" that India is not producing according to you. COmputer science people from India do have knowledge about what is needed to be a computer engineer.
>>We have thousands of colleges and universities turning out tens of thousands of computer science grads annually. Take away India's dirty little game of "undersell and burn the market" and it really doesn't have anything left.
are you aware of the rule in Immigration department saying that " A H1B worker has to be paid and given benefits exactly like a US citizen in that position?". And majority of them do get paid like this. So lets keep out your "undersell and burn the market" statement on them. If at all the few have offered themselves to be underpaid who is underpaying them. It is their employer right!!! and who do you think the employer is!!! US CITIZEN...so who do you blame ethically as well as ecomomically...
GROW UP!!!!!!!!
