At one point during the discussion, Kevin stated that "someone" at HP lost him a speaking engagement with the company (with Kevin looking squarely at Ira). Ira basically volunteered that it was he... and then stated that he was arranging to fire the person at HP who had first suggested they invite Kevin!

Keep in mind that this was to have Kevin in to speak to the company, not do a pen test, or given him any access to anything.

I think that speaks volumes about Ira's attitude, and whether his position on the topic has more to do with trustworthyness vs. a personal vendetta against Kevin.

(My personal bias is that I think Ira has a massive, undeserved ego, and can't stand that Kevin is better known, more respected, and just generally liked better as a person. So there.)
