As if fluffy bunny was a DDoS kiddo, otherwise he wouldnt have been caught much sooner and wouldnt have suceeded at getting past the security. Anyway, you can deface a website from a DoS attack to my knowledge, since most DoS is as the name suggest a denial of information mainly by too much data or specifically crafted packets that the program cant handle and dies. e.g. the lastest exploit for half life servers that DoS it by 3 packets which make the CPU usage go to 100% and stuff up the server.
