Hacker-engineer Andrew "Bunnie" Huang says he's already pre-sold between 400 and 500 copies of his self-published tell-all "Hacking the Xbox: an Introduction to Reverse Engineering," weeks before its scheduled May 27th publication date, despite -- or perhaps because of -- looming suspicions by some that the book skirts the edges of legality.

Although I live in Canada, I still do not support the DMCA, as if I ever do buy an xbox, I may be affected by it. And since I would be paying for an xbox, not leasing it, renting it, or recieving it for free, I would own the thing outright. And if it came down to it, a fight in court would put that law in it's place. Microsoft would have to prove that I modded the xbox to be able to play pirated games, and that I was in possesion of pirated games. If linux was installed on it, how could I play pirated games? Answer: I couldn't. Case closed, one law sent back to the drawing board. Now I'd just have to win the lottery to be able to pay the court and lawyer fees.
