This is eactly what worries me these days. The knee-jerk reaction to the current terrorist threat is to institute large governmental agencies to police the protected. I do not need either policing or protection, thank you very much, and would be most happy with a government that went an entire year without feeling the need to "do something".

The threat of terrorism is real and frightening, the threat of empowered, empirical government is real and more frightening still. Ask Randy Weaver.
