Microsoft pulls software update because of Internet glitches

Microsoft Corp. withdrew a security improvement for its flagship Windows XP software after it crippled Internet connections for some of the 600,000 users who installed it.

Losing Internet connectivity ? Could be MS's way of punishing people for buying third party software. After all Win XP does come with it's own ICF (Internet Connection Firewall). "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure".
