It is not that the author is promoting hacking banks, but addressing the fact that more and more hackers are, in effect, becoming 'sell-outs', for they are helping to catch and prosecute hackers. And it makes sense, corporate computer security is the anti-thesis of the hacker 'idea'. Greed is the only thing that could motivate one to go against their beliefs so fast.
