The Revolution has been cancelled, folks. It wound up costing too much of our free time. I'd like to offer a little perspective on comments about "selling out" and such.

People who claim that someone else "sold out" usually fit a mold. This mold often contains words such as, "pithy, antagonistic, bitter, self-indulgent, whiny, undirected, unfocused and antisocial," but that is not the entire list.

Talk is cheap. People are not powerless, they are just disorganized. People who "sell out" tend to fit into organizations, where a structure for accomplishing things is set in stone, and the rewards are obvious. People who "talk" about Revolution, and wind up disappointed, usually don't have a strong sense of organization, which includes the ability to compromise. I read flames and posts daily, and I see a lot of people who think they know everything...or that their ideas are better than others. Instead of preaching, perhaps the "underground" community can practice words like "humility, focus, dedication and respect." The roots won't grow into trees overnight, and if people who want change don't get together to make it, they will continue to complain about it being bad, plain and simple.

Take your ego out of it. Be patient, but don't wait. Stop complaining about things as they are. Work to change the world, and it will change with you.
