Law Would Spy on Ashcroft
Kevin Poulsen, SecurityFocus 2003-06-13

The U.S. government's most secret class of Internet spying, telephone wiretaps and physical searches would become slightly less secret under legislation proposed this week reflecting lawmakers' growing unease with the Justice Department's use of expanded surveillance powers.

Ordinary American Women
If anyone believes that they "get off the phone when the conversation becomes personal" or that they jot down in records

when they wiretap, or that they even get a warrant ALWAYS, well, they just don't know US.

We're women who went to Washington DC, and asked that the Postmaster General keep his supervisors' pants up, and maybe the postal rates would come down.

We didn't expect the invasion of covert power. We tape recorded, and recorded the eerie, abusive, and intimidating messages.

I also found a bug in my home that should have been given to Osama Bin Laden's crew because they lived in my town and were headed for September 11th.

It seems very strange where we are told we are of freedom when suddenly agents out of nowhere are stifling our freedom, and leaving death threats on our machine.

I was a web builder of sites that supported the abused. I was and probably still am, an amateur on the Internet. Lots happened, but the worst part is that this began long before the Patriot Act.

The second bad news is that we are ordinary Americans, moms, just women who rejected the abuse in the workplace.

My hope is that people will become aware that their rights are being taken with "legislation", and then with secrets they are doing what they want, until people end up with the creeps we have on our lines.

We can't find justice because people won't help us. We have videotape, and recordings, and if I ever had the help we need, I'd place their faces up on a website so that all can see how money is wasted on a couple of moms who told their abusive employer to keep his supervisors' pants up, and we are invaded with harassment, and death threats to American women,a nd their children by our former employer's federal agents, and its "brotherhood."

Take care, and let freedom ring.
