Anyone who looks at the big picture can see this is about NBC saving face on the whole situation.

No company on earth wants to actively advertise to the world that it's lame enough to be hacked from Kinkos. [whether they are or not]

If this was about some anonymous company then I doubt the lawyers would have been so concerned.

Either way, NBC gets embarrassed, because now reporters are reporting on the story being cancelled.

Free press wins the day again. [haha]
