I think that if a murder uses a gun to kill someone, then they should not be able to own a gun.
Oh wait, here is a different analogy so you don't huff and puff. Yeah yeah, comparing murderers to hackers, an easy analogy.
If an individual uses specific tools to _break_ into a location and is caught looking at company files, those tools should be taken away. That individual should not be able to own/use those tools, within whatever time deemed by the courts.
I don't see how this is different from one criminal to the next.
Do I think Lamo is really _hacking_?
No.
The ability to use a http proxy is a feature of whatever browser someone uses. The ability to guess passwords is commonsense.
One more thing and I'll be done. If I was Kinko's, I would deny him access to use the terminals/i-net access. Why? because he blantantly abused the service.
Would you let him use your computer?
