NSA Proposes Backdoor Detection Center

Declaring hidden malware to be "a growing threat," the National Security Agency's cybersecurity chief is calling on Congress to fund a new National Software Assurance Center dedicated to developing advanced techniques for detecting backdoors and logic bombs in large software applications.

I agree with the previous post. The gross negligence of companies appears to be culturally acceptable however. Fast and cheap will always prevail unless the definition of 'criminal negligence' is changed to include board members of corporations that develop sofware (microsoft). This is a far cry from the current (microsoft/government, microsoft/public_image) perceptions.

The nsa is still in denial that they have lost control of basically everything. Once in a while they get ambitious and try to interact with the public.
