I got in trouble for the exact same thing already 2003-09-10

I did the same thing to HewlettPackard a while back in regards to their spare parts system and shipping to unauth addresses.

I helped them patch the hole, and saved them $9mil a year from it.

What did I get:

Jailtime, 7 year sentence, court was nice and sent me on a 1.5year bootcamp term, and I ended up paying over $10k for fees.

3 years later, almost done with my $300/mo payment, I look back, and know I did wrong... but no thanks for the savings?

yeap, that's corporate america for you.
