Regardless of him being busted, this doesn't seem to be a crime punishable by 15 years of his life and $500,000. That's 15 PRIME years of his LIFE... for a computer crime? Violent crimes are punishable by that... not a 22 year old at his computer at home.
I don't know what he would have done with the information hadn't he got busted, but in my opinion, the FBI should wait to see what he'd do. That kid sounds talented as hell, and they're going to throw him in jail for 15 years. If he'd helped other companies witht their networks and found holes in the security for them, then why is the bank so quick to jump on his ass? They want their $300,000 dollars back. If he hadn't costed the company that money, he probably wouldn't be going to court to be sentenced... rather... he'd be fixing that hole he hacked and he'd be praised by them.
