Unlucky phisher pleads guilty

An Ohio woman whose credit card fraud schemes began to unravel when she unwittingly spammed an off-duty FBI computer crime agent pleaded guilty to a federal conspiracy charge Tuesday, and potentially faces years in prison.

This person was finally brought to justice for something they did in Feb 2001 - the wheels of justice grind slowly

I've reported at least 50 such scams in the last year alone - and here is their first catch. The problem is growing.

Last point - If you look at point one and point two you will see that our justice system is slow and inefficient. Truth be told they really seem to have zero will to eradicate this problem or else we would here of a lot more convictions.

I wonder what a high profile vigilante spammer beating would do to the fraud spam in our inboxes? Probably more effective than the current system.
