Ashcroft takes on foreign government hackers
Kevin Poulsen, SecurityFocus 2003-11-07

How seriously does the U.S. government take computer intrusion? Seriously enough for the threat of foreign hacking to take a prominent role in new rules governing the FBI's national security investigations issued by U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft this week.

I'm thinking it's about d**ned time! The fear of the US government abusing this is a valid...just not from this particular Attorney General. I grew up about 10 miles from this guy when he was just entering political life. He's a good egg...who's to say what the next AG will be like however. Reno Version 2?

Besides, if the Feds wanted to get you, you would already be got. Those guys don't play fair when they get their dander up.
