Heckenkamp Challenges Computer Ban
Kevin Poulsen, SecurityFocus 2003-12-03

Accused eBay hacker Jerome Heckenkamp is back in federal court in California this month, but it isn't for his ever-slipping trial date. His attorneys are mounting a constitutional challenge to court-ordered pre-trial restrictions that have kept him from computers and the Internet since his indictment nearly three years ago.

Well first off... They guy's career does require access to computers. I can understand them not allowing him one in his home... But can he still go to work with computers. (I agree you need to keep up from home too, but it's not necessary.)

Secondly. How much can the government get away with while investigating the details before his trial. Next they're gonna stop people who are waiting for a court date because of a parking ticket from driving!!!
