Federal and state authorities are investigating whether hackers gained access to Social Security and credit card numbers for at least 20,000 University of Georgia students and applicants, officials said Thursday.

I think that it's funny that they let their server get hacked into, and then they have the balls to tell the students that they need to get ahold of their credit reporting agencies and CC companies...

Shouldn't that be the responsibility of the people that allowed their network to get hacked in the first place???

Seems like an unfair burden to put on the students when they weren't the ones who allowed the whole thing to happen...

Tsk Tsk Tsk - U of GA you should be ashamed of yourselves. I'd be afraid to attend any of your Computer Security classes after reading this!
