"I am not aware of any DSL provider that limits the number of bytes available or charges more if a circuit is used more," said Verizon spokesman Eric Rabe.

Contray to Mr Rabe opinion, DSL providers do limit the number of bytes. Specifically NovaOne in Dallas, Texas limits users without comment or notice. Your dsl just suddenly becomes slow, as in slower than a 56k modem.
