A computer virus that targeted a small Utah software company performed as its perpetrators promised on Sunday, bringing down The SCO Group's Web site two days before a similar virus was programmed to attack Microsoft Corp.

SCO had plenty of time to prepare themselves. Microsoft made it. I would think that since Microsoft is funding SCO, they could probably offer some insight as to what they could do to mitigate the attack. But SCO took the site down themselves and played the pity card.
