Oh, of course, that's right, its in the UK, so it must be legal for Scotland Yard's little totalitarian regime of police enforcement. Just can't wait for the World Court to decide that the EU rules apply to EVERYONE, not just EU members, so that Scotland Yardies can break into my little house in Missouri, haul me off to the lock-up and say 'we're investigating her, but we haven't brought any charges'. Geez, I thought good police work meant that they had to perform 'reasonable search and seizure', and charge/indict the perpetrator before making an arrest, and imprisoning said perpetrator. At least they gave him bail...
Now I know that the Yardies aren't releasing all the information they have, but to just release a statement of 'We have arrested someone bad, trust us' doesn't really asuage my fears of violated civil rights.
Of course, since the Fibbies are involved, I shouldn't worry, because they will 'protect me' (/sarcasm). Of course, since I own a computer that has WinPCap installed, which allows me to sniff the network, I must be doing something bad, since Windows wasn't really designed to permit promiscuous mode NIC drivers, I must be a script kiddie. No wait, Windows XP permits that stuff. Hey wait a minute, the NIC card permits that, I can run in promiscuous mode and spoof my IP addy, even mask my MAC address. Damn, I am really in trouble now, I have hacker tools, Windows and a 3Com ethernet card.
Good thing I am posting as anonymous...
