Alleged WebTV 911 hacker charged with cyberterrorism

FBI agents arrested a Louisiana man last week for allegedly tricking a handful of MSN TV users into running a malicious e-mail attachment that reprogrammed their set-top boxes to dial 9-1-1 emergency response.

I agree with you folks... the so called "Patriot Act" is in no way Patriotic and should never have been passed. However there should be a substantial law the authorities can use to stomp this guy in the dirt. He not only inconvenienced his 'enemies', he also tied up the 911 emergency numbers. That fact could possibly have cost someone a life. I hope they burn the dude up. In a sense, it IS cyberterrorism, if only for that reason.
