It's high time we take to task people whom we trust to do security work securely, but come up with shoddy results.

You're being paid honest money to do it, come up with something better, not something which someone with some free time can easily circumvent.

I'd like to see Apple come up with a version 14.4 iTunes only to see it broken again in 8 minutes this time around. 8 days -> 8 hours -> 8 minutes.

On the industry side, when will the Entertainment sector understand computer's need to share resources easily? Stop implementing Al Capone/Gestapo era restrictions on us and we'll leave you guys alone. We're too busy doing other useful work to spend time breaking down your "security" implementations. But when you restrict me from viewing my latest purchased DVD on my PC DVD player, well, I'm gonna do something about it so that it'll never happen again. I've found a bug and I'm gonna do some bug-fixing... Brand me a pirate, a terrorist, whatever, I dont care. I just want my things to work on my systems. It's that simple.
