Apple patches critical Mac OS X hole
Kevin Poulsen, SecurityFocus 2004-05-21

Apple Computer on Friday issued a patch for a security hole in Mac OS X that could have allowed hackers to take over vulnerable machines, but the company went out of its way to downplay the importance of the bug.

I bought my first PC three weeks ago. I currently own three other Apple computers.

Within 5 minutes (the time it took me to set up my firewall), I had four infections on my Windows XP computer.

I have NEVER had an infection on any of my Apple computers since 1995!! I have never lost data on my Apple computers since 1995!! I have never used a router until last week (for my windows PC).

I think a theoretical security flaw in an OS is better than an actual, utilized flaw.

Lets put the FUD where it belongs...on Windows security issues.
