To the Area 51 buffs who travel to the Nevada desert in the hopes of catching a glimpse of unexplained lights in the sky or to bask in the mythic allure of the region, 58-year-old Chuck Clark is almost as much a part of the local color as the Black Mailbox.

The sensors were on public land. We dug them up, photographed them and re-buried them, making sure they still work. We made a note of the frequency, code and location, but never published that information anywhere.
Most of the time we knew we were being watched by armed security forces, in some cases from as close as 200 yards away. Do you really think we would be stupid enough to give them a reason to get us.
The whole investigation was a "fishing expedition". And despite what the article says, they came up empty. End of the story.
