The equipment is left where the public can get to it intentionally - and a big deal is made about the instance intentionally, if it's found. It's called disinformation, right?
In the interest of some thoughtful reply -
is it possible this was a test of someting more "Homeland Defense" oriented than you realize?
Do you seriously beleive these comment boards are NEVER monitored? The pics are still available, so is this board. and the discussion is soving a problem for somebody.
Do you seriously believe there's no reason to covertly monitor air quality, vehicle weights, traffic volumes - ?
If you've never been involved with disseminating public info, understand, the wrong information or too much information is worse than none.
So, how would YOU propose this particular incident should have been handled (since you don't know WHY - on any of it - please use FACTS, not truisms.)
