Or maybe they go to work in the morning, go home at night like everyone else, and then laugh when they read about the lunatic conspiracy theories and paranoid fantasies that persist about their work.
All of these freaks could be given a guided tour of the whole facility, allowed to roam every nook and cranny at will and read page after page of boring, classified flight test results. It wouldn't matter. They have to have their delusion, and they won't be separated from it.
