In a rare wireless hacking conviction, a Michigan man entered a guilty plea Friday in federal court in Charlotte, North Carolina for his role in a scheme to steal credit card numbers from the Lowe's chain of home improvement stores by taking advantage of an unsecured wi-fi network at a store in suburban Detroit.

I would wonder where Mr. polsen gets his information if all of the other syndicated security news people are republishing his work, where did the "facts" come from.
In the matter that the security team found tcpcredit so fast, might have had something to do with the stores in California that "crashed" for the day. (see Detroit free press articles on the matter)
Just my 2 cents. I work near where this happened, and the fact that people still shop at that store, scares me. I was actually escorted out of the store for asking a manager why they aren't more responsible for their customers information.
Also on another note, this is what CC fraud protection is for. This way all of us working class folk don't lose our houses.
