In a rare wireless hacking conviction, a Michigan man entered a guilty plea Friday in federal court in Charlotte, North Carolina for his role in a scheme to steal credit card numbers from the Lowe's chain of home improvement stores by taking advantage of an unsecured wi-fi network at a store in suburban Detroit.

Yes I know that the mere fact of having a credit card is contradicting, yet try to live a decent life without one. Using it on the other hand is a compeletly different issue.
You all know how insecure wireless is, even if they are enabling WEP.. haha WEP is just a gate, with a nice secure door...to bad the lock on the door uses a key you can get at any hardware store (pun intended)
Fact is, self reliance is a wonderful thing...plain and simple...
p.s excuse the poor grammar and what not, i'm working the grave yard shift and tired.... running a secure network tends to get boring! >=)
