From recent reading, spyware is so very

profitable that a single data-mining

company made 90mil+ last year alone. Well,

doesn't it seem a little odd that they

are wielding some measure of control over

legislation? Also, I heard there was a

study as to who is producing the spyware.

Most common demographic was college educated

white males who wanted some extra money on

the side.(this is unconfirmed I didn't see

the study myself) Can we really blame the

programmers? They just combine data-mining,

click-through advertising kick-backs, and

possibly the evil SPAM servers!!! I think

the internet needs some version of the

EPA, one of our most valuable intellectual

resources is being squandered by someone

who just wants to make a quick buck.
