with linux, it can take hours to get software working even if you /want/ to install it. and good luck trying to write a virus that can hit all ten zillion cvs snapshots of all ten hojillion browsers a linux user /might/ be running. with windows, you only have to target IE5/6 to cause $n billion in damage.
