SP2 has been available in Release Candidate form for about six months. Why aren't these schools' IT departments prepared for its effects? Why aren't these schools' IT departments using Software Update Services (SUS) - a free Microsoft tool - to manage deployment of SP2 (and eliminate the bandwidth concerns?).

It's hard to sympathize with organizations whose IT departments are 'caught off guard' when the impact of SP2 has been spelt out by Microsoft for over a year and the software has been available for these same orgainizations to test for the last six months.

It's always nice to bash Microsoft, but when it comes down to it these IT organizations are failing their own users.
