U.N. warns of nuclear cyber attack risk

The United Nations' nuclear watchdog agency warned Friday of growing concern about cyber attacks against nuclear facilities.

It would be a really good "guideline" if the NRC suggested that Windows OS's not be used in any sort of control system. Although all other OS's can be argued to have vulnerabilities as well, they are not nearly as likely to be subjected to worms and viruses.

I have talked to manufacturers recently that lost all production for hours even days due to viruses that snuck onto the plant floor. Using consumer grade OS's in operations is not a good idea, using them to control critical infrastruture is just stupid.
