A web spying capability, multi-million dollar price tag, and a secret Carnivore ancestor are some of the details to poke through heavy FBI editing.

What happened to internet privacy? It now seems that for the same reason people wanted to stop crackers, the FBI is monitoring our emails. In other words, they are invading our privacy as some hackers/crackers are invading theirs. Corporations like Microsoft or Lucent could get ahold of carnivore to spy on other companies, or even their customers. Warrants need not be issued by those who have money and power, they could buy their way out of any bribe.

I recommend we all go to FBI HQ and protest with big signs stating: "Kill the Carnivore".
