There is no etical reason for the government to keep the infomation from the American public. the only problem is that there are those individuals (I don't mean anyone on this board) who would love nothing more than to see America crash down into "Third World Status" It's a sucky way to put it and I don't mean any dissrespect to any individuals who may come from a so called third world country. Like an earlier post said, most of that cloak and dagger activity is pointed across seas. I don't think the Fed's or NSA is spying on the American public in general, but maybe those individuals who may have ties to foreign powers who may want to see the U.S. crumble. These people may work in areas with sensitive information and/or have finanacial means to support terrorist activities both domestic and foriegn. I hope I am right in my assumption and that the U.S. government is staying out of the average citizen's business.
