Dimitri Sklyarov is a RUSSIAN citizen, he wrote a tool which defeated Adobe's eBook 'encryption' format (encryption which could/can be easily broken with nothing but a PEN AND PAPER), an 'encryption' scheme which was/is ILLEGAL in Russia, where the tool was written primarily so blind people could read Adobe eBooks, he flew to the US for a conference in which he'd be talking about the program, he didn't have ANY source OR executables or for that matter information about the program in his posession, he was arrested by the FBI the moment he stepped off the plane for violation of the DMCA ("Digital Millenium Copyright Act").
