I remember a partner of a large accountancy firm seeking my legal advice in the 1980s after having received a telex (yes before emails and faxes) from Nigeria suggesting the same sort of get rich idea. Needless to say I told him that the higher the rate of return the greater the risk. things seem to have not changed in the twenty years or more that intervened.
