I sure know lot of companies that offer post-paid international/long-distance VoIP service, where the CallerID is the only thing used for authentication and accounting. Such PIN-free services will be heavily abused. The only limiting factor is the price - is it cheaper to actually buy the VoIP service, or it is cheaper to pay to the spoofing service and use the VoIP for free?
It surely would be cheaper to pay for spoofed ID and make calls to INMARSAT or Iridium services. Then the actual VoIP account owner will have lots of bills to pay...
Or, if you call some adult phone service on the behalf of your victim, it would be really hard for him to explain what is going on...
These things are more than just harmless pransk, they can really affect one's life.
