Hackers sued for tinkering with Xbox games

In the first case of its kind, a California video game maker is suing an entire community of software tinkerers for reverse engineering and modifying Xbox games that they legally purchased.

I can take a piece of art, a book, etc, and break it, destroy it, etc. I can buy a car, modify it, r.e. the software, add ipod interface, ground effects and tv, its my prerogative. Copyright laws were put in place to protect intitys from the competition taking their idea and copying and reselling....
