Settlement reached in Cisco flaw dispute

LAS VEGAS -- A researcher who showed off a way to remotely compromise Cisco routers has to turn over all materials and agree not to further disseminate information on the flaws or the technique he used to run code on the popular network hardware.

if he had any brains (other than those required to hack a computer) he'd have leveraged his new-found knowledge to get a gig at Cisco as an internal security advisor, instead of trying to make himself a crusader and ending up in the poor house...
