White House Trims Cyber-Security Plan

The Bush administration has reduced by nearly half its initiatives to tighten security for vital computer networks, giving more responsibility to the new Homeland Security Department and eliminating an earlier plan to consult regularly with privacy experts.

I think it would be more appropritate to REQUIRE the government to consult with privacy experts, rather than recomend. They drop even the recomendation and get to select their own expert? Who they going to get as their "expert" Someone from the J Edgar Hoover school of wire tapping? This admin...
