I think Mitnick is telling the truth about his escapade with Sprint's switches, and phone line manipulations. They say "truth is far stranger than fiction". Mitnick has no motive to lie, and the Telco's have a tendancy to do just that,(they call it damage control). Yes it is indeed odd for a convict...
