I think video game companies could turn emulation into a profit center 2000-07-17

I think that game companies could make money by selling ROM files for games they make or have made. It would promote their brand to more markets. For example, Capcom has done this. Buy a Hotrod Joystick from Hanaho Games, and you get MAME, plus 14 100% legal Capcom Roms on a CD!...
