DirecTV dragnet snares innocent techies

In recent months the satellite TV giant has filed nearly 9,000 federal lawsuits against people who've purchased signal piracy devices. But some of those devices have legitimate uses, and innocent computer geeks are getting caught in the crackdown.

Nice article and well written.

However, wish the article included some other facts. DirecTV is run by Hughes Electronics (GMH) which is owned by General Motors (GM).

Personally, I will never buy another GM vehicle since GM has allowed this to happen. Hope others feel the same way.
