HP's ill-advised DMCA threat actually had a few legal teeth. Will federal prosecutors soon start chomping at bug finders?

FUD PATROL
Rasch is a FUD Monger. There is no "engineer", there is no "employer",no "message" to Bugtraq describing anything and there is no "use" of the DMCA. He makes their threat of the DMCA seem as a statement of fact. That they could use it, and that it can be used. Nonsense.

SnoSoft: "a loosely organized research collective". Employer my foot.

"Engineer": more like member.

"Describing":

{got fed up of corporate bullshit
here is the warez, nothing special, but it does the job :)
note, this is just one of many many exploitable bofs in tru64 5.x}

GREAT DESCRIPTION!

Only accurate piece to this tabloid article:

{Perhaps the most important lesson HP has learned from this experience is that engineers should not be permitted to practice law, just as lawyers should not be permitted to pretend to be engineers}

That's right. To bit JD's should stick to tabloid jouranlism and not pretend to be real lawyers or real security analysts, or real journalists.
