What is this rubbish about people not being US citizens. It should be irrelevant what nationality a person is they deserve the same rights as any other person. I'm sorry I don't believe the FBI had the right to trick these people, nor crack into foreign computers. Surely this tactic is akin to entrapment. The law enforcement system is just bending the rules for its own benefit. I don't see how this acceptable. This tactic was not clever, it was rash. During the cold war this tactic would have been just plain stupid. The Russian hackers where criminals no question, but the FBI showed no sensitivity to the interests of any other organisation other than their own. I cannot believe the number of times people sprout beliefs which are essentially xenophobic and are comfortable with most base double standards. What if it was Russia? What if the hackers where English, Irish, German, Australian? Would it still be ok what the FBI did?
