Now, I may be strething things a bit, but let's say this was an issue with the Chineese government and 2 US reporters. In China there're some things you're not allowed to print. Let's say the two US reporters had a website aimed specifically at Chinese audience.
If the same 2 reporters were in China on holiday, and accessed their website from a public webcafe, would you think it okay if the Chineese government tapped the username/password from that cafe, entered the webserver (located in USA) and provided evidence of the crime commited, under Chinese law?
I would guess you would be outraged, eh?
