I think certification is nothing compared to experience. But people have to start somewhere. At least if someone has a certificate they might know the basics...same as someone fresh out of college. There is no way to learn what you need in a classroom, but this is the same in every profession. A company should never hire a person straight out of school or recently certified and expect them to be the answer to their needs. But professionals shouldn't be upset with people that are willing to learn and want to get their foot in the door.
